Location:

Event Details:

As Snares to Wares continues to engage with complex issues relating to wildlife and human livelihoods, and spreading the message behind our mission, several artists from Pakwach, Uganda are here on campus working with the Kresge Art Center, faculty, and undergrad students to build a life-sized giraffe out of snare wire recovered from Murchison Falls National Park, commissioned for the lobby of the new Institute for Quantitative Health Science and Engineering (IQ) at MSU. This giraffe stands at 14 feet tall, is mounted on MSU Shadows Collection wood, and is a powerful visual metaphor of the collaboration between MSU and conservation efforts worldwide.
