Overview

JOIN US June 19-21, 2018 Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center Michigan State University

The Current Issues in Global Food Law conference explores the interconnectedness, relationships and impact of food law, food science, industry and consumers. Bringing together members of industry and the regulatory world as well as students, alumni, and faculty, the conference will increase attendees' understanding of today's food law issues, tomorrow's opportunities, and the future challenges facing the global food industry.

Conference attendees include students in our Global Food Law program, alumni, and leaders in the food industry seeking to expand their knowledge and networks. Presenters and attendees are joining us from around the globe to discuss global food law inside six broad topic areas:

•Intellectual Property, Food Laws, and Global Food Security •Biotech and Novel Foods •Labeling •Counterfeiting and Brand Protection •Enforcement and Crisis Management •Emerging Threats and Trends

Keynote speakers, moderated panels, and concurrent sessions will look at each topic from a variety of perspectives. Time for questions and dialogue has been built into each session. The conference is structured to afford participants numerous opportunities to present their ideas, address concerns and discuss strategies for addressing current issues in global food law in detail. Breaks, concurrent sessions, strategy sessions and evening social events are designed to facilitate networking and expansion of circles of influence.

Not only will you have the opportunity to learn and explore during the daily sessions but our evening events will add an element of fun to your conference experience.

Start the conference out by joining us for a casual mixer Monday evening.

Food@MSU, our Tuesday evening social event, is the place to meet and speak with partners and representatives from other Michigan State University units working in the food space.

Wednesday night's Michigan Mixer moves the conference to Old Town Lansing. The evening will include food trucks, cooperatives, Michigan wines and brews.
