About the Speaker:
Maimouna is a well-travelled Senegalese radio host, producer and consultant. She is a journalism graduate. Her career in radio began in 1996 in Mali at Kaïra FM. Back in Senegal, she worked at radio 7 Fm. Passionate about hip hop, Ms Dembélé created and hosted a hip hop show called "Blaster". She also worked as a Co Host and Producer at the prominent Vibe Radio. She just founded the Association HERS for women and girls empowerment through Arts. Dembélé also hosts a monthly TV show called Life Stories. It showcases the lifestyles of celebrities. Since November 2018, Maimouna is the chairwoman of the Board for Music In Africa.
